When I first came across this, I was listening to Les Brown.
The way he delivered it, the message, the TIMING; brought me to tears.
These words, summarize who I am, and who I want to IMPROVE.

I will not trade freedom for beneficence nor my dignity for a hand out. I will never cowar before any master nor bend to any threat. It is my heritage to stand errect, proud and unafraid; to think and act for myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations and to face the world boldly, and say, this I have done."
